A temporary road closure in Ħaż-Żabbar on Sunday 22nd February 2026 between 16:30hrs and 19:00hrs, will naturally be affecting several bus routes due to the closure of Sanctuary Street.
Route 90 will be diverted, with buses “coming from Hompesch Road” instructed to proceed to the roundabout and turn back “without serving Zabbar Centre.” The bus stops impacted on this route include 442 Medjatrici, 443 Bajjada, 2264 Lawrenz, 460 Santwarju, 461 Baruni and 462 Medjatrici.
Routes 91, 124 and N91 travelling from Marsaskala towards Valletta or Birgu will divert via the Marsaskala By-Pass, turning right onto Labour Avenue and continuing to the roundabout. Route 124 will continue its normal route. Buses will then proceed back through Labour Avenue to serve the Madrin stop before resuming their usual route towards Fgura. A number of stops are affected, including Iskal, Harruba, Sengle, Buzbiez, Gwakkin, Gharghar, Maggi, Hamra, Santwarju, Baruni, Medjatrici and Qrenpuc.
Routes 94, 120 and 121 coming from Xgħajra towards Fgura will divert through St Peter’s area, Triq San Leonardu, Triq Santu Rokku, Triq Santa Liberata, Triq San Dwardu and through Notre Dame Gate towards Vjal Kottoner before continuing normally.
