A large congregation gathered at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Grace in Żabbar for the two-day Magnificat choral festival, organised to mark the 75th anniversary of the Coronation of the Miraculous Titular Painting of Our Lady of Grace. The celebration brought together choirs from different localities across Malta in a devotional atmosphere within the historic sanctuary.

The festival opened on Saturday 28th February with performances by the Parish Choir Regina Coeli of Ħad Dingli, the Maria Assumpta Choir of Mosta, St Julian’s Choral Group, and the Santa Cecilia Choir of Mosta. The second evening, held on Sunday 1st March, featured the Children’s Choir of Żabbar, the Tota Pulchra Choir of Cospicua, the Parish Choir of St Anne of Marsaskala, the Sine Macula Choir of Ħal Safi, and the Notre Dame Parish Choir of Żabbar.

Sunday’s event was attended by Joe Alessandro, Bishop Emeritus of Garissa, Kenya. The programme centred on sacred music and reflection, commemorating a historic milestone for the parish while highlighting Żabbar’s enduring religious heritage.
