Transport Malta has announced a series of bus diversions in Żabbar on Monday 16th February 2026 between 16:00hrs and 23:00hrs due to the closure of Sanctuary Street. The measures were communicated in coordination with the Żabbar Local Council.
Route 90 will be diverted during the specified hours. Buses coming from Hompesch Road must proceed to the roundabout and turn back without serving Żabbar Centre. Notices are to be fixed on the affected bus stops, namely 442 Medjatrici, 443 Bajjada, 2264 Lawrenz, 460 Santwarju, 461 Baruni and 462 Medjatrici.
Routes 91, 124 and N91 will also be affected. Buses coming from Marsaskala towards Valletta will divert via the Marsaskala By-Pass, turning right onto Labour Avenue and proceeding to the roundabout. Route 124 will continue its normal route. Affected stops include 452 Iskal, 453 Harruba, 454 Sengle, 6398 Buzbiez, 456 Gwakkin, 457 Gharghar, 458 Maggi, 459 Hamra, 460 Santwarju, 461 Baruni, 462 Medjatrici and 6346 Qrenpuc.
Routes 94, 120 and 121 travelling from Xgħajra towards Fgura will divert through St Peter’s area, Triq San Leonardu, Triq Santu Rokku, Triq Santa Liberata, Notre Dame Gate and Vjal Kottoner before resuming their normal route. Stops 2267 Alessio, 2268 Burbar, 2269 Imqaddsa, 460 Santwarju, 461 Baruni and 462 Medjatrici will be affected.
